End of Quarter

Although the class is over, I still will try to use a lot of the things we learned in class.  Before the class, I knew the  basic things you can do on the internet, or even the computer.  I think it will help me in the future with projects I have to complete.  Before taking the class I didn't know what to expect, or even what Digital Technology was.  Now that I know what it is I think it is very important and I am glad I chose to take it.

Final Presentation

For this project I ended up deciding to combine all the projects I've done in this class.  Even though I ran into a few difficulties early on, I believe it turned out well.  I tried to add voice to it and timed it so that the slides corresponded.  

Reflection on Video

So, I finally finished my 60 second concept video.  The reason why I chose this concept is because some people I have talked to think there isn't a lot to do in Cincinnati.  When hearing that, I went out to show that there really is a lot to do here. And you can even do a lot in a day! Cincinnati is a great city and it has a lot to offer. I ended up doing it starting from waking up and ending at night to get a full days worth of activities.  A lot of the stuff, including the game wasn't originally planned but happened at last second.  I kind of did rather it wasn't so planned because it was more true to a day here.

Video Process Update

I'm excited about this project. I'm going to try to record it Friday with a few of my friends starting from the beginning of the day and ending at the end. I'm planning on it being more of a documentary than a marketing/promotional tool.

60 Second Concept ideas

It is taking me a while to figure out what to do the concept in 60 seconds on.  My ideas so far have consisted of things I am interested in.  One idea is "A day in Cincinnati".  I would go around to different events in the area, and take pictures and videos of fun things there are to do in a day here.  I'm not sure what places I would pick yet, but have thought of a few ideas.

Audio Literacy Narrative

I liked this project and found it to be very different from projects I usually do. I thought it turned out well and it wasn't as difficult as I anticipated. One of the strengths I believe, was I was able to use a song as well as different effects for the background.

The problem I ran into was the exporting and saving of the files. When doing projects I usually save it once, but exporting and unzipping folders were more of a challenge.

Narrative Project

I am excited to start the narrative project and consider it as a challenge.  I have never used audio or video online and have never stored any digital format other than pictures or text.  The challenges I assume will be with the technical aspects.  Saving,  uploading and creating the digital formats may be a little more difficult for me.  

I am planning on telling a story about my experiences in school using a computer for reading and writing.  Since the way I use it has changed a lot, I will start out what it was like when I first started using it until now.
